South Coast Fives

Safari Beach Hotel, Diani will be hosting the South Coast 5S Beach Touch Rugby Tournament, taking place on 19th – 21st July 2024. This year marks the 13th Edition of the event in Kenya and East Africa. It also follows a successful South Coast 5’s Beach Touch Rugby Event held in July 2023, which attracted a total of 27 different teams from Kenya and beyond.

This year, 28 teams from all over Kenya and beyond will compete. The teams comprise of men only, women only, mixed (men and women), and veterans.

The event is sanctioned by the Kenya Rugby Union and is also part of the 2024 official calendar. The KRU Chairman, who was the guest of honor at last year’s event, will attend this event together with a selection of the KRU Directors, to celebrate 13 years of Touch Rugby in Diani.

The SC5’s is the biggest Beach Rugby event in East Africa and the second biggest in Africa. The Media have been invited to cover the event as in previous years, where the event received extensive coverage on National TV as well as Radio, Print and social media.
